Michele Gay, co-founder of Safe and Sound: A Sandy Hook Initiative, published this fantastic article about school safety. She makes many great points throughout the article, but in the last paragraph she hits on an important correlation: It has been more than 56 years since there was a loss of life due to fire in a K-12 school. The National Fire Academy has done a great job of documenting the tragic fires that have lead to improved systems that save lives. The fire alarm system is one of those. Fire alarm pull stations and notification systems have undoubtedly saved lives. The BluePoint Alert Solution is designed to do for armed intruder events what the fire alarm has done for fire emergencies-save lives!
We applaud the work Ms. Gay is doing to improve the safety of students. See her full article.
